Adrian Hawley becomes a Trustee of Headway UK
Adrian Hawley, Client Relationship Manager at Kain Knight, has been appointed as a Trustee of Headway UK, following an election at the AGM on September 12th.
Adrian is also the Chair of Headway Huddersfield and District, supporting brain injury survivors across the Calderdale and Kirklees local authority areas. Adrian became involved with his local Headway Huddersfield and District in 2016 and with the support of Diane Derbyshire, one of the Network Support Coordinators of Headway UK, he has driven and expanded the volunteers forward to the point that Headway Huddersfield & District can apply for charity status in its own right and become a Headway Group.
Adrian comments “The ethos of Headway is that together, we are stronger and by working together, we can do more to improve life after brain injury and I am absolutely delighted to be accepted into this very important role. The move to becoming a Trustee is very much the next obvious next step for me and I look forward to being able to help determine the policies of the charity and ultimately be involved in ensuring that the charity achieves their objectives in supporting brain injury survivors.”
Adrian’s interest in brain injury support stems from his work supporting the Serious Injury, Clinical Negligence and Court of Protection sectors with costs law advice for over 20 years.
Matthew Kain, Chief Executive Officer of Kain Knight adds “I am really pleased for Adrian as I know how much the progression into this role means to him and on behalf of myself and everyone at Kain Knight, I’d like to wish Adrian the very best of luck with the appointment.”
