Background
Adrian’s costs career started in 2002 as a Negotiations Manager at PI Costing Plc, handling Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims. From June 2003 to August 2013, Adrian predominantly worked with family costs and childcare with occasional work on housing, contentious probate and legal aid matters.
For the last eleven years, Adrian has worked predominantly on Court of Protection matters, and regularly takes matters to appeals before the master in the SCCO and more recently undertaking a business development and account management role in injury and Court of Protection claims.
Adrian regularly delivers costs training at conferences, seminars and webinars covering property and affairs matters in the Court of Protection and in civil claims covering time recording, file management and maximising costs.
Adrian is a proud charity ambassador and supports Headway UK, Headway Huddersfield, Spinal Injuries Association, Back Up Trust, The Child Brain Injury Trust, Brain Injury is Big and AvMA.

Notable cases
Adrian’s personal challenge is to change the law on proportionality in COP costs. He wants to take a test case, on appeal, to the scco in order to bring about the change in law that is required to dispense with the unjust reductions that form a necessary part of this work.
