Background
Matthew’s career in costs began in 1998 following 4 years working within a small city centre Solicitors’ practice gaining knowledge in both civil and criminal cases.
Professional Experience
His first full time venture into costs was with a local Law Costs Draftsman whereupon invaluable experience was gained.
Since these humble beginnings, Matthew has worked for a relatively small number of law firms and costs companies in addition to running his own costs business which pulled together all the skills and knowledge attained during his extensive time in the legal sector.
Current Role & Responsibilities
Matthew’s experience over a wide range of costs related issues means that he is able to work on most types of civil and commercial claims which require the preparation of Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute, Replies, negotiations, costs management and advocacy, from either a paying or receiving party perspective.
Interests
In his spare time, Matt enjoys pastimes such as cycling, running, reading and has a passion for history.
