Background
Heather has worked in the legal sector since 2012. Initially, she prepared Schedules of Loss for a Claimant solicitor firm whilst gaining her Accounting Technician Qualification. Heather specialised in losses for multi-million-pound catastrophic birth, brain, and spinal injuries with a focus on self-employed and military Claimants.
Heather moved internally to the in-house costs team where she qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2019. She has worked across a large variety of paying party matters including, but not limited to, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, and Industrial Disease. Heather began working as a deputy team leader and undertook most of the training for her junior team members including mentoring those working towards ACL and CILEX qualifications.
In November 2021, Heather chose to broaden her horizons and began working for a Defendant firm where she undertook a much greater variety of work, for mainly paying party matters, in areas including aviation, commercial, judicial review and human rights appeals.

Heather has previously managed the costs on high value bills in Civil, Commercial, and Immigration matters on a cradle to grave basis for both paying and receiving parties.
