With over 20 years’ experience as a costs expert, Paul has been exposed to a wide spectrum of cases throughout his long career.
Paul initially dealt with Criminal matters, but soon gained good knowledge of the Personal Injury sector. He qualified as a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen in the late 90’s, thereafter becoming heavily involved in high profile Personal Injury cases concerning CFA’s and CCFA’s. Paul has a wealth of experience as an advocate having attended numerous hearings in the County Court, High Court, SCCO and Court of Appeal. Whilst developing the specialist PI department of Kain Knight, Paul became a Director in 2003, subsequently gaining Costs Lawyer status in 2007.
Throughout his time with Kain Knight, Paul has enjoyed working closely with the company to develop efficient and productive operating systems to ensure Kain Knight remained a market leader. More recently, Paul’s main role has been focused upon operational and production matters throughout the whole Kain Knight group.
Paul sits as chairman of the Training, Knowledge and Production committee, along with the IT committee.

Interests
Paul is a lively person who very much enjoys football and has a particular passion for extreme sports. Paul regularly races motocross events across the south east and also enjoys hitting the snow park when on winter holidays. Paul lives with his long-standing partner Victoria. Although they have no children, they have plenty of cats and farm animals to care for!
