Background
Graham has been working as a fee earner at Kain Knight since February 2003. He qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2010. Dealing predominantly with costs on behalf of Claimant Solicitors, he has worked for some of the largest Claimant Solicitor firms in the industry and has dealt with the costs of many multi million pound cases and multi-party actions.
Graham helped develop Kain Knight’s Costs Budget service and has attended numerous Costs Case Management Hearings as well as drafting and opposing Budgets.
Role & Responsibilities
Graham has particular expertise in drafting Bills of Costs, Costs Budgets, Estimates, Replies to Points of Dispute, costs negotiations and has been undertaking detailed assessments in the county courts and SCCO since 2003. Whilst Graham has predominantly dealt with costs on the Claimant side, he also has experience working for paying parties and has experience drafting Points of Dispute and advices.
He has undertaken work in the following areas of costs law;-

- Judicial Review
- Civil Liberties – including actions against the Police

- A level in discrete Mathematics
- GNVQ in I.T – Distinction level
- Costs Lawyer since 2010
Interests
Outside of work Graham is married with four children. He plays football, enjoys film, travelling, exercising and plays the guitar.
