Background
Annette has over 30 years’ experience in law costs, having started her costs journey in a regional firm in Southampton in 1993, where she spent 6 years training to be a Law Costs Draftsman.
Annette qualified as an Associate of Law Costs Draftsman in 2001 and became a Fellow in 2009. She has experience in drafting Court or Protection, Public Funding and inter partes Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies, with time spent advocating in the local London Courts and the SCCO on all types of Personal Injury cases. She also has experience acting for insurers advising on Solicitor/Client costs, preparing Budgets, BDRs and Statements of Costs for infant/Protected Party approval hearings.
She now focusses her work on Court of Protection matters, to include applications to appoint Deputies, General Management and Statutory Will applications, whilst maintaining a varied case load in Personal Injury work.
Interests
Annette has owned horses throughout her life and currently has two horses, which take up most of her spare time. She is also in the process of converting a VW Crafter into a campervan with her partner and dreams of campervan travel during her holidays.
