Karen has been a Shared Lives Provider for 15 years, caring for two people with learning difficulties who live with her, one of whom has a Deputy that she works closely with. This means Karen has a unique insight into the challenges faced by Deputies who support vulnerable clients, often as a result of clinical negligence. Karen has the required skills to manage the funds for protected parties who often struggle to understand the need for a Deputy.

Various schools as father was in in the RAF finishing at St Mary’s School for Girls, Baldslow, Kent.
Interests
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her two sons and two grandsons and scuba diving, as she is a qualified PADI diver, both abroad and in Cornwall. As well as this, she enjoys walking her 2 dogs, a Rottweiler and a lazy chocolate Labrador, going out in her campervan and collecting miniatures.
