Kain Knight shortlisted for prestigious award
We are delighted to announce that Kain Knight have been shortlisted at the Personal Injury Awards in the Outstanding Case of the Year category for our work on Belsner, described by legal commentators as the ‘costs case of the decade’.
Belsner v CAM Legal Services Ltd [2022] EWCA Civ 1387 was a test case heard by the Court of Appeal and addressed issues concerning the way solicitors charge their clients for bringing small personal injury claims through the online pre-action protocols. The relatively low value of the legal costs in dispute belies the significant and far-reaching impact that the case has had on the personal injury market.
The awards ceremony will take place on 23rd November at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
